Nearly two-thirds of people with depression do not actively seek or receive proper treatment. Especially during the pandemic, the rate of mental health problems has increased, and seeking active help has been difficult for many people. Nonetheless, there are neurological disorders that people are diagnosed with, and treatment for such problems is at high costs or even incurable. That is why, NeuroGlow, a student-led initiative of helping the community with mental health problems as well as neurological disorders, was established. NeuroGlow seeks to take effective approaches to help our community as much as possible with these persisting problems. There will be workshops where professionals can help educate members of the community as well as help with problems that people may be dealing with on a day-to-day basis. Fundraisers will be hosted to help raise money for the ongoing research as well as raise money for treatments that may be high of a cost to an individual or family. NeuroGlow will also have podcasts and social media platforms to educate the social world about these problems. It will be a way to meet professionals or people in general who can give guidance to our audience. The social media platforms will be a source of factual information being provided to our followers as well as to keep our followers updated on any events or ways they can help. Furthermore, the articles written will be a way to teach readers on problems related to mental health in society, notify on events and our progress, and lastly to make a connection with the reader and to make sure that the readers are able to learn from NeuroGlow’s posts. With the development of this organization, we want your help in making our mission goal a success.
